Usher in the roarsome year: Big Sweep pays out RM 6.0 million angpow!

15th February 2022, Kuala Lumpur – The Year of the Tiger started off with a blast, with 2 lucky winners winning RM 3.0 million each.

On 8 February, the first lucky winner, Mr. Tan (pseudonym), an e-commerce self-employed person from Penang, won the first prize of the Big Sweep Draw 01/22 (draw date 16.1.2022) with ticket number 4495580 and received RM 3.0 million. He occasionally passes by the Big Sweep Outlet and buys tickets from the staff he knows well. There were a few tickets left at the counter that day and he bought them all.

When asked why he didn’t come to claim his prize first, Mr. Tan said, "I didn't know I have won on the day of the draw because I was busy delivering orders to customers before the Chinese New Year. It was only two weeks later that I opened my wallet and realised I hadn't checked my tickets, so I opened the Big Sweep App, scanned my tickets, and found out that I had won the jackpot." He said with a smile that he will continue to support Big Sweep in the future and contribute his share to charity.

The next day, the second lucky winner, Mr. Lau (pseudonym), a manager of a listed company from Kuala Lumpur, won the first prize of the Big Sweep Draw 02/22 (draw date: 6.2.2022) with ticket number 7126473 and collected RM 3.0 million. Mr. Lau revealed that he has been buying lottery tickets for quite some time. He wanted to start the Year of the Tiger with a bang, so he picked 10 lottery tickets in a row and never expected to win the jackpot.

As for the use of the prize money, he said that he was going to work as usual. He will not let the prize money disrupt his normal routine. The prize money is intended to be used to improve the lives of his family, to settle his housing loan and, once the epidemic is over, he will travel to Europe, a mission he has yet to accomplish for years.

As of 2021, Pan Malaysian Sweep Sdn Bhd has donated 26 million Ringgit to the YCF, a charitable organization dedicated to nurturing talent through education.
